The Gamefolio desktop application ("the app") is a native shell for the Gamefolio web service at app.gamefolio.com. It displays the same Gamefolio service you can use in a web browser. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the desktop app. It supplements the privacy practices of the Gamefolio web service.

Information we handle
- Account & sign-in information. When you sign in, authentication is handled through the provider you choose (for example Google, Facebook, or Apple) and Firebase Authentication. We receive the basic profile and authentication details needed to sign you in to your Gamefolio account.
- Content and activity within Gamefolio. Anything you do inside the app happens on the Gamefolio web service and is handled the same way as on the website.
- Technical & usage data. Like most software, the app and service may process basic technical information such as app version, operating system, and general usage needed to operate, secure, and improve the product.
- Download & update metrics. When you download the app from our website or when the app checks for updates, our servers receive standard request information (such as IP address and the file requested) used to provide downloads and measure aggregate download counts.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and secure the Gamefolio app and service.
- To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
- To deliver software updates and understand aggregate download/usage trends.
- To diagnose problems and improve the product.
Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services that process data under their own privacy policies, including the identity providers you choose to sign in with (such as Google, Facebook, and Apple) and Google Firebase. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
Software updates
Builds installed from our website check for and download updates automatically so you stay on the latest version. Builds installed from the Microsoft Store are updated through the Store.
Data retention & your rights
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To make a request, contact us at hello@gamefolio.com.
Children
Gamefolio is not directed to children under the age required by law in their country, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
